[AIS] Académie D’inspiration et de Soutien Académie

FIEH has been running a school tuition support program for over five years, during which we have encountered many challenges that reflect the urgent needs of our community. Our funding for school fees is limited, yet the number of daily requests for support far exceeds our capacity.

In 2020, we supported 155 children attending more than 40 different schools. Over time, this number has gradually decreased to 135 and now stands at 100 children.

This reduction is primarily due to the high and varying tuition costs across schools. Our available funds cannot cover full tuition for every child under our care, so we have had to reduce the number of supported students using a
merit-based approach.

In response to these challenges, we have developed the vision to open our own school within the organization to better support our children.

This year, we are proud to launch “Académie d’Inspiration et de Soutien” (Inspiration and Support Academy),
a primary school under FIEH’s umbrella.

This initiative will allow us not only to support more children but also to create jobs and strengthen the sustainability of our organization.

By operating our own school, the cost per student will be significantly reduced, enabling us to enhance the quality of education provided. This step aligns with our broader mission: to help build a new Haiti by educating youth who will become engaged and proactive citizens.

Together, let’s rebuild Haiti
and shape its future!
